The Hottest, Locally Grown, Must-Have Plants
Meet The Department Store Windows of Fifth Avenue
At Nectar & Company’s First Annual Spring Sale

MACON, GA -  The most fashionable addresses in Georgia are accessorized by container gardens from Carmen Johnston of Nectar & Company.
My husband and I have been able to travel the World.
And we’ve seen some of the most unbelievable garden centers,
floral varieties, & plant shows.
I want to bring some of that to Macon

Carmen Johnston
Next month, on the weekend before Easter, that’s exactly what Carmen (featured in this month’s Southern Living) will do.  The Nectar & Company, First Annual, Spring Weekend, cash and carry plant sale will display the season’s hottest, locally grown, must-have, plants in a feast for the senses that will capture the whimsy of Fifth Avenue and the nostalgia of your Grandmother’s Victory Garden.
Vignettes to include: The Debutante Digs 101, Pretty In Pantone, The Boho-Chic Backyard, “Dress” Your Salad, and Cocktails in the Courtyard, will offer inspiration and instruction for gardeners of any and all skill levels.
My generation’s not digging in the dirt.  And when I ask them ‘why’ (more often than not) the answer is ‘I just don’t know how.’  What I’m passionate about” beams Carmen “is changing that for our generation and the next.”
And, speaking of the next generation, what about Mommy’s little bees?  The Spring Weekend vignettes will also include complimentary garden activities for the children, goodies on sale from Fountain of Juice, and professional photography services.
Along with the hottest plants, such as Pretty Much Picasso by Proven Winners and Ball Seed’s Black Velvet Petunias, Master Gardeners will be on-site to assist Middle Georgian’s with assessing their plant needs in an effort to make sure that what shoppers walk away with is a successful garden - even if that garden is just a pretty pot underneath the Easter wreath on their door.
Carmen has handpicked varieties that are grown right here, locally, in Thomaston, Georgia.  “Plants grown in Michigan don’t thrive here in the South” Carmen explains.  “We want your family to join our family in keeping it local.”  From graceful touches, to statement pieces, this sale is about inspiring the women, and men, of this community to get excited about decorating their homes, inside and out, with bright, bold, beautiful plants that will bring a smile to the their family’s faces.
